Private Lesson Cancellations
General Principles
The "real world" has a habit of getting in the way of our dancing - whether it be a normal Class or a Private Lesson (including Wedding Classes).
In the event of an unforeseen event we require 24 hours notice if you need to re-schedule a Private Lesson.
We can be notified via email (see Menu at left), or via telephone (1300 780 759) which includes messages left on our Voice Mail.
The Lesson will be charged at the normal rate unless we can re-book the time slot with another dancer/couple.
Privacy Policy
General
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online and hard copy information practices, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of the Latin Ballroom - including the website, Studios, and all other areas of operation.
Contacting other Dancers.
From time to time we receive requests from learners for contact information about other learners. While we believe these requests to be absolutely honest and for genuine reasons, we cannot provide such information.
As an alternative, IF YOU GIVE US YOUR PERMISSION to provide your details to the other party, and we will pass it along, if reasonable. The Latin Ballroom makes no warranties or assertions as to the likelihood of the other party responding.
Who is bound by this Policy
All the Latin Ballroom Staff are bound by this policy - there are no exceptions.
The Latin Ballroom may from time to time provides links to other websites that are beyond our control. Websites that we link to may have privacy and security policies that differ from the Latin Ballroom. Please understand that we are not responsible, in any manner, for the privacy, security practices, or content of such websites.
Types of Information We Collect And How We Use It:
Contact Information
We collect contact information (like your name, address, telephone number, and email address) through various registration forms, surveys, sweepstakes entry forms etc.
This information is used to provide you with services that you requested (e.g. on-line training, or if you order products and services), to contact you when necessary, or to send you additional information regarding the Latin Ballroom or selected reputable partners and affiliates.
IP Addresses
Our Web Server records IP Addresses when the Website is visited. This information is only for statistical and system administration purposes. IP addresses are anonymously logged to track a users session. We do not link IP addresses with any personally identifiable information. This means that a users session will be logged but that user will remain anonymous to us. We can and will us IP address to identify a user when necessary to enforce our terms of service or protect our site, network, advertisers or users.

The Latin Ballroom WILL NOT disclose your information without your specific permission. The Latin Ballroom will divulge information only as necessary to comply with state and federal laws.
Notification of Changes To The Privacy Policy:
Our privacy policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.
If at some point in the future, the Latin Ballroom changes the usage practices that affect any of your personally identifiable information, We will notify you by email of the changes. At the time of that message you will be able to opt-out of this information usage by sending an email message to the following email address: admin@latinballroom.com.au
Choice / Opt-Out Of Promotional and Marketing Communications:
If you no longer wish to receive our occasional newsletters or other marketing communications, you may opt-out of receiving these by accessing the "Opt Out" or "Modify Preferences" links at the bottom of every email.
Alternately you can simply email us at admin@latinballroom.com.au with your name and the email address you wish to be removed from the database.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:
You can confirm or correct what information we may hold by contacting us at admin@latinballroom.com.au, or accessing the links described above.
To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making changes or corrections to any of your personally identifiable information.

Download Policy
We are sometimes asked if we can provide copies of the music tracks we might use in class or for Private Lessons.
While we are confident that the requests are genuinely based on the desire to practice and master the various dance steps, we are sorry, but we CANNOT do so.
This would be a breach of Copyright and may render all parties subject to significant penalties.
Some Alternatives:
- Most of the music we use is from CD's and DVD's which we either sell, or can direct you to - please ask.
- Check our on-line Store - many CD's and DVD's are available there.
- Through legitimate on-line download services (like "iTunes"), many great tracks are available. We will be happy to provide you with the track Name, Album, and Artist, to assist your search.
Refund Policy
On Courses and Workshops
Registration fees are for a complete Course Of Instruction - not individual Lessons - and are not refundable. We will generally provide several alternate opportunities for individuals to complete their Course.
In many circumstances, when the situation beyond the individual's control prevents their attendance in any particular Course, we will generally provide a Course Credit (either FULL or pro rata).
Please Note: To obtain approval for a Course Credit, we must be advised at the time.
On DVD's, CD's and other Products
We will gladly exchange or provide a refund on any item if it has an error or flaw.
We will provide an exchange or refund on DVD's and CD's ONLY if they are still in their unopened packaging, in good condition, within seven (7) days of purchase.
Please Note: All our DVD's and CD's are physically and electronically checked, then placed in a security sealed package. We cannot be held responsible for damage after opening.
SPAM
We hate SPAM as much as you do. Although sometimes tedious, we have included the following features on the Latin Ballroom. We explain them here so that you know why you might get an unexpected email from our Security System.
"Anti-Robot" Checks
Portions of this website are protected by "anti-robot" checks, like the one on our Contact Us page. This ensures that the email comes from a real person, not some machine.
Confirmation Emails
Likewise, when someone registers your name with us for some reason (say, a Subscription to the Newsletter), our Security System will always send a confirming email to the provided address, just to check that you really did make contact with us.
Unsubscribe
As required by the SPAM Act, all our regular email contacts to you (including our Newsletter), have a dedicated "Unsubscribe" link included. To unsubscribe at any time simply click that link and follow the prompts - and you're off the database.

Other Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to the following Bonus Offers:
- DanceCard;
- Multi-Course Discount;
The Latin Ballroom reserves the right to alter, change or discontinue any offer at any time.
DanceCard is personal and NOT transferrable.
(Plain speak - Your points are your points, you can't give them away)
All DanceCards remain the property of the issuing Studio.
(Plain speak - The Latin Ballroom owns all DanceCards)
DanceCard cannot be redeemed for cash.
(Plain speak - DanceCard has no cash or exchange value)
Lost DanceCards are VOID.
(Plain speak - If a DanceCard is lost so are ALL the points. The database DOES NOT record how many points any DanceCard might have.)
Only the unique punch shape authorised by the participating Studios will be recognised as a VALID "punch".
(Plain speak - Each "punch" is a unique shape. Only those shapes recognised by The Latin Ballroom will be accepted.)
Only referrals recorded at the time of Registration will be accepted.
(Plain speak - New dancers MUST nominate who introduced them to the Latin Ballroom on their Registration form ONLY, at the time of their Registration. Any claim, say the next morning, will NOT be accepted.)
ALL DanceCard validations and updates must be completed within 14 days of the start of the relevant Term. Claims made after this period are void.
(Plain speak - All DanceCards must be updated within 14 days of the start of Term After that the special "punch" may not be available, and any update will be voided.)
DanceCard Rewards are part of a Loyalty Program applicable to recurring dancers.
(Plain speak - All DanceCards are NOT applicable in your FIRST course, but acknowledge your ongoing support and loyalty.)
Previous DanceCards Recognised and Accepted until January 2008.
(Plain speak - DanceCards issued previously by the Latin Ballroom Studios -even if under a different Studio name - will still be accepted until 2008.)
Only specified events earn Reward Points. At this time they include:
- A subsequent Registration in a regular (4) or (8) week Dance Course; and
- Introduction of a NEW dancer to a Latin Ballroom Course ( 4 or 8 weeks)
(Plain speak - Short workshops, private lessons and similar DO NOT attract Reward Points unless specifically stated.)
No refunds.
(Plain speak - Refunds do NOT apply after the Course has started)
Multi Course Discount - Bonus is personal and NOT transferrable.
(Plain speak - Applies to an individual dancer - one dancer doing more than one Course in a Term)
Multi Course Discount - Second Course is of Equal or Less Value.
(Plain speak - If you are registering for say, a $100 and a $60 Course in the same Term, Discount applies to CHEAPER COURSE)
Classes missed are void.
(Plain speak - NO credit is allowed for missed classes or lessons)
Only specified events earn Multi Course Discount. At this time they include:
- All regular (8) week Dance Course; and
- All regular (4) week Dance Course;
- Short Courses (under 4 weeks), workshops, private lessons and similar DO NOT attract Multi Course Discount unless specifically stated.)
